Forum “Investment Policy in CIS – Interest and Interaction”

In the recent years, the Commonwealth states have been showing a sustainable growth of their economies and stabilized financial indicators of their economic development; more specifically, their state budgets have been executed, rates of their national currencies in relation to US Dollar are stable, inflation rates are relatively limited. Foreign investors have become much more proactive in CIS countries. One can see a gradual formation of business relations that are based on the application of ever improving legal and regulatory framework. Resolutions have been adopted to create an integrated foreign exchange market and set up the CIS Council of Chief Regulators of Public Securities Markets. CIS presidents signed the Investment Cooperation Treaty; the Convention on Protection of Investor Rights was also adopted. A potential capacity of the investment market of CIS countries is quite considerable, a shortage of investment resources is at least two times higher than their real supply.
